The two Destination Imagination teams from Algoma that qualified for the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee, finished in or near the top quarter of teams in their competitions last week.

The Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, competing in the Show and Tech secondary level category, scored 283.10 points to finish 14th among 49 teams in the technical competition.

Project Super Heroes, entered in the Ready, Willing and Fable elementary level category, scored 321.94 points to finish 12th among 52 teams in the service learning competition.

“The teams did a phenomenal job and we should all be very proud of how well they represented the Algoma School District and the Algoma community while in Knoxville,” the teams posted on the Algoma School District DI Facebook page.
