Applications are being accepted for a scholarship offered by the Algoma Library Friends (ALF) for persons residing or employed in Kewaunee County who are pursuing a higher degree in library science or reading/media specialties.

The $500 scholarship is open for applicants meeting the following criteria:

1. Applicant must be a resident of/or employed in Kewaunee County.

2. Must have a minimum of 60 undergraduate credits.

3. Must be seeking an educator license a a reading specialist, reading teacher, media specialist, or a higher degree in library science.

A letter of application detailing student status and career path should be sent to Algoma Library Friends/406 Fremont St./Algoma, WI 54201.

First-time applicants will receive priority consideration, but former applicants/recipients may apply. Applications are due to the Friends by Friday, June 30.
