The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department posted this tale on Facebook for Giving Tuesday:

Deputy Karman has something he would like to share.

Experienced “THANKS” “GIVING” in a whole new way these past few days, I was up north hunting when Rachelle called and informed me that an anonymous family stopped at our house and dropped off a donation to the Kewaunee County Shop With a Cop program. The donors wanted to “THANK” Kewaunee County Deputies for the job we do every day, and also were “GIVING” back to the community in which we serve. When I returned home Friday and opened the envelope, inside was a $1000 donation with the condition that they remain anonymous. With this donation, the Shop with a Cop program will be able to sponsor 4 children and their families this holiday season.

This is one of the reasons we as officers work in Northeastern Wisconsin, as there are “special families” like this one that appreciate all we do and support the extra programs the officers are involved in.

With this donation, the officers involved with the Shop with a Cop program, will experience the true meaning of Christmas through the excitement of the children involved.

I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to this family for your generous donation to this worthy program!
