A northern Kewaunee County emergency medical services group is hoping to recruit more first responders to serve the community.
The Casco-Lincoln Area EMS Group posted this message on its Facebook page Saturday:
We want YOU! The Casco-Lincoln Area EMS Group is looking to expand our group by increasing our first responder numbers to better serve our community! Training is provided at no cost to volunteers due to the generous support from our community. If you live in the Township of Casco, Lincoln, Luxemburg, Red River, Ahnapee or the Village of Casco, and are interested in joining a fun group and helping out members of your community when they need it the most, please let us know! You can send us a message on this page or call Brad LeGreve at 920-680-1111. Thank you!
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department shared the request and posted additional encouragement:
Depending on where our officers are in the county, our response times to medical emergencies can be a little long, if we can even make it before the rescue squad. Since the founding of the area first responders they have grown to cover many townships of our county. They have been a great addition to our area in providing a timelier response to medical emergencies.
If you have an interest in the medical field, like to help people out, and have thought about being a first responder, please give them a call and see if you can help your community!
