Kewaunee County Emergency Management will be hosting a severe weather spotter training provided by the National Weather Service, Green Bay, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Kewaunee County Emergency Operations Center at 625 Third St., Luxemburg (Kewaunee County Fairgrounds Facility).

The class being conducted by NWS is about 90 minutes in length. The class includes information on identifying storm features, effective positioning strategy, safety, and severe weather communication.

There is no age requirement, but spotters who report weather to National Weather Service should be at least 15 years old. Also, you do not need to be/become a spotter in order to attend this class.

There is no cost to for the class, but interested parties are asked to reserve a spot by Monday, March 19, by calling Kewaunee County Emergency Management at 920-845-9700.
