Incumbent Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers and retired Whitnall superintendent Lowell Holtz earned the most Kewaunee County votes in Tuesday’s spring primary election.
The numbers reflect the statewide vote, which eliminated a third candidate, John Humphries. Evers and Holtz will square off on the April 4 general election ballot.
Evers is seeking a third four-year term as the administrator of the state education department.
The Kewaunee County totals: Evers 619, Holtz 218, Humphries 85. Registered write-in candidate Rick Melcher received one vote. This link leads to a breakdown by municipality.
