The care of trees is especially important during autumn. That’s the focus of a Fall Tree Care Workshop scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Algoma City Hall, 416 Fremont St.

The speaker will be Dan Traas, certified arborist, degreed forester and college instructor.  He plans to discuss what property owners can do to promote healthy trees, provide fall and winter maintenance and protect trees through the winter.

The program is free and open to the public. Residents of other communities are welcome to attend.

The City of Algoma Tree Management Committee event is funded in part by an urban forestry grant from the Wisconsin DNR Forestry Program.  For more information, call 920-487-8136.
