The Kewaunee County Historical Society has released the schedule for its annual February series of historical presentations.

The programs begin at 1 p.m. Saturdays at the society’s History Center at 217 Ellis St., Kewaunee, and are followed by a social including a free light lunch and refreshments.

This year’s presentations:

Feb. 3 – Richard Dorner will take visitors on a trip through Kewaunee County at the turn of the 20th century, from the memories of Lee Metzner.

Feb. 10 – Robert Lohrey will show how early farming was done with horses.

Feb. 17 – Ben Joniaux will discuss the making of Belgian trippe and booyah, a longtime tradition of his family. Samples will be provided.

Feb. 24 – Jim Schaller and Mike Kostka will present a historical tour of the city of Kewaunee in 1938.

The programs are free and open to the public.
