If you are looking for a little relief from Old Man Winter, enjoy a night out and attend the humorous and side-splitting adult variety show “Hooray for Hollywood” put on by the Kewaunee Young People’s Theater.

This year’s theme is “Older, Bigger, & Funnier!” and will take place on Feb. 16, 17, and 18. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at Center Court in Kewaunee or Simonar Sports in Luxemburg.

Saturday’s performance is already sold out, but tickets still remain for the Friday and Sunday performances. Show times are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

The group’s mission is to improve the lives of everyone and assist in strengthening our local communities. Twenty-eight different organizations will be recipients of this year’s fundraiser, and all of the money raised remains in Kewaunee County.

Last year, more than $45,000 was raised through the generosity of the sponsors and by the 1,000-plus patrons who attended the three performances.

A few of the beneficiaries from this year’s fundraiser will be:

Kewaunee, Luxemburg-Casco & Algoma Theater/Musical performances; Algoma Performing Arts Center; Algoma Fire & Rescue (Extrication Air Bags purchase); Kewaunee, Algoma & Luxemburg-Casco Scholarships; Luxemburg Rescue (Purchase of new power cots); Casco Lions (Update baseball dug outs); Kewaunee County Food Pantries; Kewaunee Missoula Children’s Theater; Kewaunee County Sherriff’s Department (Infrared camera for a drone); Algoma Library Friends; Friends of the Ahnapee; The Heritage Farm
