The Build the Future Foundation has announced this year’s four additions to the Kewaunee High School Wall of Fame.
Dennis and Deb Shimanek, Jeff Kassner and Tom Kleiman are being honored as the foundation hosts its annual Wall of Fame banquet to honor four outstanding graduates of Kewaunee High School
The banquet is scheduled for Sunday evening, April 9, at J W’s Place in Slovan (rural Casco). Tickets are $30 and are available from Nicolet Bank, Bank of Luxemburg, the Novak Agency, or any Build the Future Foundation member.
As is the custom, the honorees are being introduced in separate news stories. This is the third of four articles.
Jeff is a 1981 graduate of Kewaunee High School. While at KHS Jeff was actively involved in the football program. Jeff was awarded All Conference and was provided the opportunity to play in the Shrine Football Game. Jeff also enjoyed wrestling and was a state qualifier his senior year of high school.
Jeff then attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and graduated with honors as an automotive technician. In August 1984, Jeff started working for Dworak Bus Service as a cleaner/technician (mechanic). In 1991 Jeff was given the opportunity to purchase shares of Dworak Bus Service. He was promoted from dispatcher/technician to manager of school bus operations.
In April 2015, Jeff became CEO and owner of Dworak Bus Service.
