Candidates have until June 23 to submit applications to become the new children’s librarian at the Algoma Public Library.

The position became available last month when Cathy Kolbeck was promoted from within to become the new library director.

“The Children’s Librarian is under the direct supervision of the Library Director and is responsible for the planning and execution of programming for the Children in the community including two story hours (birth to toddler & toddler to kindergarten) each week,” according to the job posting.

The Library Board selected Kolbeck last month to succeed Amanda Burns, who resigned effective May 19 to join the Education & Outreach Department at the Milwaukee Public Library.
