The revived Main Street in downtown Luxemburg was rededicated Sunday during a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at the start of the Kewaunee County Fair parade.

Olivia Treml sang the national anthem and local pilots did a flyover in honor of the late Dave Baierl, owner and former president of Nicolet Airport who died this spring.

“I think we turned out to be having a really great Main Street,” said Dan Porath of the Luxemburg Village Board, which hosted the ribbon cutting.

Porath credited engineering firm Robert E. Lee & Associates and senior project manager Lee Nowak for the design work, as well as general contractor Dorner Inc.
