The American Red Cross will hold two blood drives in Kewaunee County over the next week.

Drives are planned from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1000 Wisconsin Ave., Kewaunee, and 1-6 p.m. Monday, June 26, at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg.

Individuals who are 17, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

To schedule an appointment to donate, use the free blood donor app, visit redcrossblood.org, or call 920-855-2304 or 800-733-2767. Appointments are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.

New blood donors are especially needed during the summer months because many schools where blood drives are held – and where new donors give – are not in session, and regular donors often delay giving due to summer vacations.
