An afternoon of beer, wine and food sampling is in store for the crowd expected at the 11th annual Roar Off The Shore Brewfest scheduled for 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds Exhibition Building, 362 Third St., Luxemburg.

A joint project of the Kewaunee and Dyckesville Lions Clubs, the event brings together more than two dozen microbreweries and home brewers, along with area wineries, with local restaurants providing samples of their tastiest dishes.

“For any of you this weekend that enjoy good beer, good wine, and good food, I would recommend taking a trip over to Luxemburg,” said Kewaunee County Board Supervisor and Lion John Mastalir. “It’s one of only two fundraisers these two clubs do each year, and the majority of their funds for their activities are raised through this.”

Advance tickets are $35 until Thursday and $40 at the door and can be purchased from any club member, all Bank of Luxemburg locations, Van’s Lumber, Port O’ Call, BlueWater Services or online. Designated driver tickets are $5.
