The Book Corner, the bookstore operated by Algoma Library Friends, has reopened its doors as of Aug. 1 and will be open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays only, until further notice.

“The Book Corner is committed to the health and well-being of their volunteers and the general public, and will be taking COVID precautions by REQUIRING face masks, hand sanitizer usage, and social distancing practices for all,” the announcement said. Curbside pickup will also be offered.

The Book Corner is across from the fire department at 401 State St., Algoma. The store is run by volunteers from the Algoma Library Friends. Donations of books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and games may be dropped off Saturdays during business hours. All profits go directly to the library.
