An elementary school team from Algoma is heading to the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City next month after winning the state title in their category.

Project Superheroes 3.0 scored highest in the category pO: Escape Artists during the state DI championships Saturday (April 13) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Mad Imaginators Volume II from the Luxemburg-Casco School District placed seventh in the same category.

Seven other teams from Algoma public schools competed at UWGB:

4 Girls & That Guy Over There placed third in Medical Mystery, Secondary Level.

Cotton Candy Monsters placed fourth in Game On, Middle Level.

Ice Ice Babys placed fifth in Game On, Site A Level.

Cheeto Chompers placed sixth in Game On, Site A Level.

Sweet Tea-m placed sixth in Monster Effects, Secondary Level.

Twisting Into 2020 placed 13th in Game On, Middle Level.

The Cherries placed 13th in Heads up, Secondary Level.

And the team PI.E from St. Paul’s School in Algoma tied for eighth in Heads Up, Middle Level.
