The 12th and final First Friday of 2019 brings another eclectic selection of art exhibitions, receptions and other artistic endeavors at downtown Algoma businesses.

A timeline for the evening’s events as compiled with the help of the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce:

5-7:30 p.m.: GypsySoul Jewelry will be featured at BellaLuna’s Apothecary, 211 Steele St.

5- 8 p.m.: Opening reception for James Dean’s December exhibition of his lathe-turned vessels made of exotic woods, resin, and mixed media, Robert Ray Gallery, 520 Parkway St.

5 and 8 p.m.: The live interactive theater event “Twas the Night Before Krampus,” Yonder, 321 Steele St. Ticket required. “Twas the Night Before Krampus” is part puppet performance, actor engagement, song and music, food spectacle and fellowship.

5:30-8 p.m.: Paint Your Own Ornament, Clay on Steele 221 Steele St. $3 each.

5:30- 8 p.m.: Opening reception for Tall Ships 2019 works by Patti Raine and Barbara Zipperer, Steele Street Trading Co. & Gallery, 300 Steele St.

5:30-8 p.m.: Opening Reception for “Sudden Change of Wind,” featuring new work by Juan Alberto Negroni, Monika Meler, Heather Macali, and Nichole Gronvold Roller, which will run through Jan. 25 at James May North, 219 State St.

Also participating in First Friday are Yardstick Books, 317 Steele St.., and The Book Corner, 401 Third St.
