At least two of the four teenagers charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a mailbox vandalism spree in early February have been ordered to stand trial.
Owen Froelich, 17, and Jacob Beauchaine, 18, were bound over for trial in separate appearances earlier this month in Kewaunee County Circuit Court. Beauchaine was arraigned immediately and pleaded not guilty. Froelich will be arraigned and enter a plea July 27.
A third defendant, Valentina Flannery, 18, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 19. All three defendants have Green Bay addresses.
Judge Keith Mehn scheduled a pre-trial conference for Beauchaine on Aug. 16.
The trio, along with a 15-year-old juvenile, were apprehended a few days after the Feb. 8 incident, in which they allegedly destroyed or damaged more than 50 mailboxes in the southern Kewaunee County towns of Franklin, Montpelier and West Kewaunee. The 15-year-old’s case is being processed in juvenile court, where proceedings are not made part of the public record.
