Fans of A&W Root Beer and its restaurants will be able to grab a mug and a burger in Algoma come fall.
Graf’s Mobil Mart made the announcement Monday morning:
An A&W Restaurant will open at 1025 Lake St. in Algoma in the fall of 2018 and will be housed within Graf’s Mobil Mart, bringing A&W Restaurant back to Algoma after approximately 50 years. The restaurant will be owned and operated by Jim and Teri Graf and Gabe and Leann Graf, all of Algoma.
The A&W Restaurant with drive-through window and indoor seating will offer the full A&W menu including their famous made-from-scratch Root Beer and floats, a variety of burgers, chicken tenders and sandwiches, Coney, corn and hot dogs, chili cheese and French fries, Wisconsin cheese curds, onion rings, malts, shakes, sodas, sweets and treats, kid’s meals, specialty and breakfast items. Hunt Brothers Pizza will continue to be served as well. Renovations will begin this summer with an opening planned for mid-October.
A&W Restaurants, the oldest fast-food chain in the United States, have been in operation since 1919 and is one of the most recognizable fast food places in the nation. The new development in Algoma is a result of a nation-wide expansion effort of the iconic American brand that has been experiencing a major renaissance. Today, as always, A&W Restaurants continue to hold fast to the same values and quality product that its customers have enjoyed for almost 100 years.
