After 39 years working in the banking industry, Bank of Luxemburg Loan Sales Officer Sheri Ackerman will retire Wednesday (July 3). Ackerman spent the last 16 years of her career at Bank of Luxemburg’s Algoma location. Before working as a loan sales officer, Ackerman was branch manager at Bank of Luxemburg’s Algoma location, a branch she helped open in 2003.
“I started as a teller 39 years ago and continued to advance. In every position, I was able to help the people with their financial needs,” Ackerman recalled. “Bank of Luxemburg is truly a community bank and a great place to work. I feel privileged to have worked with many great co-workers and customers throughout my banking career. I will miss them,” she said.
Bank of Luxemburg Relationship Banker Tracy Everard will be promoted to replace Ackerman as loan sales officer. Everard has been with Bank of Luxemburg for almost two years and has 20 years of experience working in various areas of the financial industry. Prior to her work at Bank of Luxemburg, Everard worked for a local appraisal company assisting with agricultural appraisals and also held positions in customer service and compliance.
Regarding her new role, Everard said, “I look forward to both professional and personal growth while learning another aspect of the financial industry. I will get to learn something new while helping my local community.”
