An autopsy is scheduled next week on the body of a 26-year-old man who was pulled from the Ahnapee River in Algoma on Thursday (June 4).

The body was removed from the river near the bridge next to the former Algoma Hardwoods complex on County Road S (Perry Road).

The victim has been identified and authorities were notifying the family; officials say it appears to have been an accidental drowning.
