The Book Corner, the bookstore opened two years ago by Algoma Library Friends, is celebrating its second anniversary this weekend with a three-day sale Friday through Sunday (June 28-30).
Patrons are invited to come in during opening hours, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to “discover the mystery of the red dots.”
Nala, Algoma’s friendly service dog, will be at the Book Corner from 11 a.m. to noon Friday; children who read a story to her will get a free book. (Nala plans to return on three more Fridays, July 5, July 19, and July 26.)
Refreshments including home-made cookies will be served each day of the sale.
The Book Corner is located at 401 Third St., Algoma, across from the Fire Department. It is run entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds going directly to the Algoma Public Library.
