It may still be April, but tickets have gone on sale for the biggest June Dairy Month event in Kewaunee County every year, Breakfast on the Farm.
This year’s dairy brunch, farm tours, and family fun and games are hosted by the Wallace Dairy Farm, N9388 County Road P in northern Kewaunee County southwest of Forestville.
Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 11, a week earlier than the usual Father’s Day scheduling.
A nondenominational service is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m.
Tickets at $6 for age 12 and up, $3 for ages 4-12, are available at Rio Creek Feed Mill locations in Rio Creek and Luxemburg, Ebert Enterprises, Pagel’s Ponderosa, and Dairyland Vet in Casco.
The menu includes “the biggest omelette you have ever seen,” fresh rolls and butter, a variety of cheeses, choice of milk, strawberry sundaes, pizza, deep-fried cheese curds and mozzarella sticks, and yogurt samples.
Other activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo, entertainment, games, and an antique tractor show.
The event is staged each year through Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion.
