The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the public and chamber membership to a ribbon cutting and grand opening from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at B’wel Chiropractic, 800 Jefferson St.

Dr. James Benzschawel owns and operates a chiropractic clinic in Appleton and has recently made Algoma his second location.

Benzschawel uses a “whole person approach” to wellness, which means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function.

The grand opening will feature activities for kids, free food, music and prizes. Attendees will be given a tour of the facility and have the opportunity to meet “Dr. James” and his staff.

The Algoma Rescue vehicle will be on display as well as a special dance performance by members of Kali’s School of Dance at 5 p.m. A fundraiser for the Kewaunee County Special Olympics will also be held in conjunction.

Giveaway donations have been provided by chamber members, including Bearcat’s Fish House, Algoma Beach Motel, von Stiehl Winery, and NorthBrook Country Club among other community businesses.
