The Casco Lions Club is moving forward with its annual Casco Lions Days Softball Tournament being held Friday through Sunday (Aug. 14-16).

“Precautions will be in place due to COVID – and we will do our best obeying to the existing guidelines,” the club posted on social media. “We ask that everyone involved does the same and respects everyone involved with our tournament. We all want to have fun and in return do great things for our community.”

The event is centered at the softball diamonds at Village Park, and includes a parade at 11 a.m. Sunday that will proceed from the Village Kitchen restaurant, State Highway 54, to the park, where the softball tournament finals are scheduled for noon.

A cornhole tournament is also planned on Saturday afternoon.

Food and refreshments will be available on the grounds all weekend, including booyah and trippe on Sunday. (No carry-ins.)
