Santa Claus will be in Kewaunee Friday night for the annual Holiday Parade of Lights as the city celebrates Christkindlmarkt 2017.
The celebration includes crafts, German food and live music at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St., and a Christmas Stroll around local businesses Friday through Sunday.
As shoppers visit each business in the Stroll, they can receive a stamp from that business on their passport. Collect all stamps and enter to win cash prizes; passports will be available at all participating businesses.
The Holiday Lights Parade will make its way through the city, down Ellis Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Santa is taking some time away from his workshop and will be in the parade and then at Lakehaven Hall to meet with the kids. The jolly old elf will be back on Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Along with visiting with Santa, kids can also enjoy cookie decorating and holiday movies as they browse through the Christkindlmarkt market.
