Kewaunee County Promotion & Recreation Department is teaming up with Bay Lake ATV Club to improve the condition of Riverview ATV Park as well as the experience for riders.
The park, E3725 County Road L, Kewaunee, opened for the season in mid-May. It has 20 miles of existing trail that stretches across open fields and winds into the woods.
Park staff as well as the club hope to upgrade the trail in areas of deterioration caused by erosion, better mark routes for riders by increasing signage, and improve the facility’s bathrooms as well as the open-air shelter area.
“Riverview ATV Park has a ton of potential to become more of a tourism destination for Kewaunee County,” said Dave Meyers, the county Promotion & Recreation director. “We’ve made an investment in some of our other more popular parks, and now we need to do the same here for recreational sport enthusiasts.”
People interested in volunteering to help grow Riverview ATV Park by assisting with maintenance and more should contact the Kewaunee County Promotion & Recreation Department at 920-388-0444. Also, all are welcome to attend the Bay Lake ATV Club’s monthly meetings. Please reach out to Kelly Froelich at 920-360-4405 for information.
