The state party vice chairwoman and a candidate for the 8th Congressional District are the featured speakers Tuesday (Nov. 5) as the Democratic Party of Kewaunee County holds a Kickoff Dinner marking one year until the 2020 election.

State Rep. Amanda Stuck, D-Appleton, has announced plans to challenge U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Green Bay, in next year’s election. She will be joined as a featured speaker by Lee Snodgrass, second vice chair of the State Democratic Party.

The festivities are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at JW’s Place, N5685 County Road E, Slovan. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 920-493-4445.

“2020 will be an important year for democracy,” said Mary Ellen Dobbins, chair of the Kewaunee County party. “Amanda and Lee will re-introduce our Democratic values to those who may be wondering which party and which politicians really care about middle America. ”
