Two Kewaunee women have been released on $5,000 signature bonds after being arrested this week on narcotics delivery charges.

Lissa Miller, 40, and Melanie McCracken, 43, were taken into custody Tuesday (Nov. 12) after members of the Door/Kewaunee Drug Task Force, along with the Sturgeon Bay and Kewaunee Police Departments, executed several search warrants in the city of Kewaunee, including at Emerald Shores Assisted Living, where the two women work.

Both appeared for bail hearings in Kewaunee County Circuit Court, each with a pending charge of Delivery of a Schedule I or II narcotic.

Sheriff Matt Joski said that after being notified of the ongoing investigation, BAKA Enterprises Inc., the current owner/management company of the facility, has been fully cooperating with the investigation. Miller and McCraken have been placed on leave from the facility, Joski said.

As of the end of the week formal complaints had yet to be filed, according to online records.
