The lease agreement for the Kewaunee County Fair has been renewed for another two years.
The County Board voted unanimously Jan. 22 to approve the two-year lease agreement with the Kewaunee County Agriculture Association for the use of the Fairgrounds during the annual four-day fair in Luxemburg. The 102nd Kewaunee County Fair is scheduled for July 11-14.
The association will pay an annual rent of $1 during the contract, which is effective Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2020. The group has access to areas of the grounds that aren’t otherwise used or rented for 60 days prior to the fair, with the entire Fairgrounds available for 30 days prior to the fair for setup through 14 days after the fair for cleanup.
The fair association is responsible for liability and other insurance required to cover the fair, and the county will provide up to 360 hours of assistance from county staff.
