The fact that the state’s largest agricultural show is coming to Kewaunee County for the very first time in its 63-year history is now feeling even more official after the 2017 Official Program for Kewaunee County Farm Technology Days 2017 was released Tuesday. The program can currently be read online and hard copies will be available at the FTD gates July 11-13.
University of Wisconsin-Extension Agricultural Agent Aerica Bjurstrom told the County Board that the tent city is starting to take shape at the Ebert Enterprises farm outside Algoma, including the 30-foot-tall lighthouse that will be the centerpiece of the expo’s Innovation Square.
The goal of recruiting 1,500 volunteers to help run the show has been met, she said.
“We really feel this is going to be something for our community, we’re trying to make it as much about the community as possible,” Bjurstrom said. “I look forward to seeing all of you there.”
