The recent Zoupart event put the Zoological Society of Kewaunee over the threshold for funding a new bobcat exhibit, and an anonymous donor plans to match up to $20,000 in profits from this summer’s annual Zoobilee event.

Those are among the news items in this update from the society that watches over the county’s Bruemme Park Zoo:

There are so many exciting things happening at Bruemmer Park Zoo this year we don’t know where to begin!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone that helped make Zoupart the best one yet!
To Vollrath, Nicolet Bank and Sarah Nunn for your sponsorship. To all the bars and restaurants that donated their delicious soup for our Soup Tasting Event. To all the schools that helped getting the bowls ready and for the amazing ART! and to our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, Thank you so much for all you do!!!! Thank you to the public for supporting this fundraising event, we had almost 500 people attend and raised over $6,000.

ZSKC is excited to announce that Zoupart raised enough money to put us over the top for funding the New Bobcat Exhibit. Construction should start in the next two months and Bella and Baxter will have a new and much larger home.

ZSKC was contacted by an anonymous donor who will match up to $20,000.00 of the profits made at Zoobilee on August 26, 2017. We are asking for everyones help in reaching this goal. Any donations made to the Zoo please designate it to the Zoobilee Fundraiser. We also have many sponsorship opportunities for Zoobilee 2017. Please contact ZSKC at info@bruemmerparkzoo.com or donate on our website at www.bruemmerparkzoo.com.

ZSKC is selling raffle tickets for $1000.00 prize. $10 a ticket or 3 for $20, Drawing will be held at Zoobilee.

The main sign at the entrance of the park came down in March during high winds. We are working on designing a new one and looking for sponsors to help rebuild it.

Spring is here! Bruemmer Park Zoo has many flower gardens that need tending to. If you love gardening and want to volunteer to help take care of the gardens please contact Dave Myers at 920-388-0444

For our next phase of improvements and construction we are looking at possibly bringing birds of prey to BPZ. We are in the talking stage.

We are very excited about all that is happening at BPZ. If you are looking for something to do this summer, bring a picnic lunch, check out our many hiking trails, visit the animals and relax at our beautiful Bruemmer Park Zoo.
Thank You,
Zoological Society Board of Directors.
