It was nip and tuck for a while, but spring finally arrived in time for the third annual Lakehaven Hall Garden and Outdoor Living Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, an event promoted as “welcoming spring to Kewaunee.”

The event is the first of the spring/summer season at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St., Kewaunee. Admission is free.

The show features a variety of vendors and artisans; items with a garden and outdoor theme to foods and creative handcrafts, to just plain “fun stuff.” The lineup includes individuals with unique and interesting talents who will provide demonstrations throughout the day, as well as organizations like the Kewaunee County Garden Club and Kewaunee High School FFA.

The event also sports a bucket raffle at the show. Prizes include hanging baskets, gift baskets and gift certificates. Tickets are $1 or six tickets for $5, and winners will be drawn at 3 p.m. If winners not present, they will be called.

Available food includes chicken salad croissant with Italian pasta salad, pulled pork with coleslaw, hot dogs, chips and homemade desserts.
