Proceeds from the 2017 Farm Technology Days show in Kewaunee County continue to offer benefits to the community.
Grants up to $5,000 are available to groups or organizations. The purpose of these grants is to provide funding for the development of new programs/projects, to enhance youth development, or enhance existing programs.
Members of the Kewaunee County Farm Technology Days Executive Committee will evaluate and determine which grant proposals will be awarded.
According to the application and guidelines available through the University of Wisconsin-Extension of Kewaunee County, preference will be given to projects that improve agriculture literacy and /or educate consumers on the importance of agriculture; that develop a positive educational experience in the field of agriculture; that involve youth and encourage leadership development; and/or that positively impact Kewaunee County’s agriculture sector.
Application deadline is Oct. 1, with funds dispersed on March 15, 2019.
A final report of how Farm Technology Days 2017 funds were dispersed including income, expense, and receipts is due no later than Dec. 31, 2019.
