The Manitowoc Bandits took game one of the Shoreland Championship Series with a come-from-behind win over the Algoma ‘Guins Wednesday night in Algoma.

The ‘Guins entered the eighth inning with a 2-1 lead but after issuing a couple walks and committing a couple errors, the Bandits would score three runs and take a 4-2 lead and hold on for the win.

Lucas Mandich got the win for the Bandits, going the distance and striking out eight batters. Mandich, Mike Ruzek, and Chris Casper each had two hits for Manitowoc.

Sam Forkert was handed the loss in three innings of relief. Griffin Cole had two hits and Austen Lee Dart homered for Algoma.

The series will move to Manitowoc Friday night at 7:30 where the Bandits can claim the title with another win.
