A tribute to the hard rock “hair bands” of the 1980s and a country music star from the turn of the 21st century are the featured artists of the 101st Kewaunee County Fair, organizers announced during the weekend.

Hairball, which describes itself as “a bombastic salute to the greatest arena rock bands in the world and featuring a fantastic special effects and light show that will blow your mind,” is scheduled to take the stage at the fair at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 20.

Heidi Newfield, who headlined the country rock band Trick Pony from 1996 to 2006 when she set out on a solo career, is the Saturday night entertainment at 9:30 p.m. July 21.

The performances are included in the fair admission. The 2018 Kewaunee County Fair is scheduled for July 19-22 at the Fairgrounds in Luxemburg.
