The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces state highway work will shut down state Highway 42 south of Algoma for a week, starting Friday (Nov. 6)
Crews will be repairing bridge approach pavement along the highway at Three Mile Creek, between Ninth Road and 10th Road.
Wisconsin 42 will be closed through that stretch until Friday, Nov. 13. Traffic will be detoured on County Road D and state Highway 54 while the repair work is underway.
Motorists are urged to slow down and be mindful of workers near highways.
Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower. For up-to-date maintenance schedules and locations in northeast Wisconsin, visit the highway maintenance traffic impact website at https://projects.511wi.gov/maintain-ne/schedule/.
