The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday (Oct. 20) that Kay Smith has resigned as executive director to take another position.
Smith’s last day on the job was Monday. She had been in that position since October 2019, when she succeeded Sara Krouse.
“Kay has accepted a new position elsewhere and we wish her well in her new endeavor,” the announcement read. “We would like to thank Kay for all of her hard work during what has been a very difficult year.”
The search for a new executive director will begin soon with another announcement, the Chamber said.
