After one year being closed because of COVID THE Jail Museum will once again be open for regular hours, Thursday thru Sunday from 12 noon until 4:00 pm. Memorial Day to Labor Day. We are located at 613 Dodge Street, Court House Square in Kewaunee. Entrance fee is $3. for adults and children are free. family pass is $5. Come and see three floors of artifacts relating to early Kewaunee County. Come and see the wood carving of Custer’s Last Stand, the original jail cells, and the sheriff’s office also military items.
As you are walking through the museum as local lore claims you may see our resident ghost Emma Lutien. Emma is a friendly ghost and likes visitors. The museum is staffed by volunteers.
