The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is cycling a new squad car into its fleet.
The 2017 AWD Dodge Charger is expected to be placed in service within the next week or so, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. Because of the long hours squad cars spend on the road, the county tries to replace them every four or five years.
After retirement, squads are generally placed up for auction.
The new vehicle was detailed in Lodi by Belco Vehicle Solutions, a company that specializes in sales, service, and installation of emergency vehicle equipment.
