Further development of Kewaunee’s waterfront is the subject of a special Jan. 12 meeting hosted by the Kewaunee County University of Wisconsin-Extension office.
Leading up to that event, the office is seeking input from interested local residents.
A community presentation on design ideas for the waterfront by a team of specialists from UW-Extension is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at Kewaunee High School, 911 Third St., Kewaunee.
Meanwhile, the city of Kewaunee is asking residents and guests to fill out a survey to help develop a plan for the waterfront and downtown district.
The survey asks people to relate their experience with the waterfront and harbor district as a resident or guest of Kewaunee, as well as their preferences for development in the district.
The results of this survey are expected to guide the ad hoc Kewaunee waterfront & downtown district improvement committee in formulating strategies and action plans for improving the waterfront and harbor district.
People can take the survey at this link or obtain a paper copy at the Kewaunee Public Library, Kewaunee City Hall or the Extension office. For more information, contact Claire Thompson at UW Extension 920-388-7136 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
