Literacy Partners of Kewaunee County and the local Home and Community Education organization are teaming up for a pig roast fundraiser on Saturday.
The two nonprofits invite the public to the Nancy Lazansky City Shelter at the Kewaunee Marina from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for a meal of pork, sauerkraut, red potatoes, soft drinks and homemade pies.
Literacy Partners provides regular, long-term one-on-one tutoring for people who need to improve their English language skills and works to provide training and awareness of local literacy needs and issues.
HCE is a community service organization that provides educational opportunities to improve leadership and decision-making skills for people and communities to meet their current and future needs.
