Luxemburg Police Officer Brianna Schommer has been promoted to full time after three months on the job.
The Village Board on Tuesday OK’d the full-time position for Schommer, who was sworn in as a part-time officer at the board’s April meeting. Her father, a retired Outagamie County police officer, pinned her badge at the ceremony.
Schommer, a Kaukauna native and 2017 graduate of the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Criminal Justice Law Enforcement program, is the first full-time police officer other than the chief that the village of Luxemburg has hired in 24 years.
She joins Interim Police Chief Chris Gulbrand.
