Luxemburg Speedway is expected to open this summer with a new promoter running the show.
The Kewaunee County Board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve leasing the racetrack, grandstand and related facilities to Skyhigh Entertainment LLC, led by Ashley Stevens of Kiel.
According to the lease agreement, Skyhigh agrees to promote a race program that includes a minimum of 15 races per season, providing the county with a $1,500 fee for each night of auto racing conducted at the facilities on the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds.
The new promoters plan to be at the fourth annual Luxemburg Racing Show to provide more information about the upcoming season. The show, sell and swap show is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Fairgrounds, 625 Third St., Luxemburg.
