N.E.W. Plastics Corp. was presented with the Cornerstone Award by the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce last week during the organization’s annual Business Recognition Luncheon.
The largest employer in Luxemburg, N.E.W. Plastics manufactures containers, plastic lumber and components made from prime and recycled material.
The company has been around for 49 years, however major success catapulted from 2009 to 2017. It grew from a $27 million company in 2009 to a $52 million company today. In that timespan the company added about 45 employees and has expanded into four distinct business units.
Two of N.E.W. Plastics’ most notable community events are the Irv Golf outing, honoring the company’s founder, and the Randy Dalebroux 5K Run/Walk, honoring an employee who passed away of cancer. Proceeds from both events go to a family or employee in need.
Other Chamber honorees were Kurt Voss of AmeriLux International, Business Person of the Year; Centerpiece LLC, Entrepreneurial Award; Carnivore Meat Company, Growth Award; and Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, Special Accomplishments Award.
