Two nonprofit groups have made donations to enhance Kewaunee County facilities.

The Kewaunee and Dyckesville Lions Clubs donated four 55-inch televisions for the Fairgrounds Exhibition Building in Luxemburg.

The Lions saw a need during the annual Roar on the Shore Brewfest that they co-sponsor.

In the past the clubs have rented four TVs and had them on stands in the traffic flow for the event, but concerns were raised that they could be knocked over and damaged.

The donated televisions will be permanently mounted on the walls to increase visibility for visitors.

Meanwhile, the Kewaunee County Youth Soccer Association has donated funds to build a new garage at Ryan Park along County Road C in the town of West Kewaunee.

The existing garage at the park is delapidated and in need of replacement.

Forest Construction Co. of Luxemburg plans to build the 18 by 24 foot structure at a cost of $16,390.

The Kewaunee County Board accepted the donations during its May 22 regular meeting.
