Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce news release

The public is invited to attend an opening and ribbon cutting for One Health WI, a veteran-owned, woman-owned CBD oil company, from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the new store, 219 Steele St., Algoma.

A light lunch and cocktails will accompany the ribbon cutting, hosted by the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce. Guests are invited to learn about CBD oil and other face, bath & body products and services One Health WI will offer.

Owners Stacy Deprey-Purper and Mike Swille (pictured) focus on their mission to help foster good health, reduce the amount of synthetic drugs absorbed in our bodies and provide an overall feeling of wellness and well-being – at a price everyone can afford. Deprey-Purper is a fifth-generation Belgian and graduate of Algoma High School, has been an entrepreneur for the last 12 years, and is happy to have relocated back to her hometown from Arizona in 2018. Swille has been a Green Bay native and traveled the world in the Navy. He’s lived in several states and relocated back to the area in 2018 as well.

One Health WI is looking forward to educating the public on the health benefits of the hemp plant and medical benefits of cannabinoids, based on current studies and client testimonials for management of pain, anxiety and general health. They find it interesting “that people think you can get “high” from this product. Hemp/CBD is now legal in all 50 states and has a .03 THC level or lower. The motto is “Get Healthy, not High.”
