Another weekend of outdoor concerts in Kewaunee County starts Thursday evening in Algoma and at the County Fair in Luxemburg.
The Cajun Strangers take the stage at Heritage Park at 7 p.m. following a 6 p.m. performance by Sara Zacek.
The Cajun Strangers are a Cajun music band from Madison. Born out of their love for Louisiana porch music, the band performs Cajun and Zydeco dance music with “unbridled energy and contagious enthusiasm that’s more than enough to entice the most sedentary patron to rise up and shake what their mama gave’em.” (Dirty Linen Magazine)
Meanwhile, Fireman’s Park in Luxemburg won’t have a band Thursday night because it’s the first night of the Kewaunee County Fair a few blocks away at the Fairgrounds.
The Luxemburg-Casco Community Band is scheduled to play the fair at 6:30 p.m., and regional rockers The Cougars perform at the Van’s Lumber Midway Stage starting at 7:30 p.m.
