A panel discussion about environment and a variety of program updates are part of the 2018 conference and annual meeting of the farmer coalition Peninsula Pride Farms Inc.
The event is scheduled to begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Rendezvous, E896 County Road N, Neuren, south of Luxemburg.
Steve Richter, director of conservation programs in Wisconsin for The Nature Conservancy, will give a presentation titled “Conservation in Wisconsin: Where are we headed?” and then will be part of a panel discussion about “Working together for positive environmental outcomes: farmers, agencies, communities and other partners.”
Scheduled to join Richter on the panel are Tony Brey, Brey Cycle Farm LLC; Nick Guilette, AgSource Laboratories; Randy Ebert, Ebert Enterprises LLC; and Davina Bonness, Kewaunee County Land & Water Conservation Department. Dennis Frame of Timber Ridge Consulting is moderator.
Lunch follows several program updates, and during the meal Bonness plans to discuss well test results, and the PPF board will provide an update on 2017 programs and plans for 2018.
At 1 p.m. the public conference will come to an end, and members will adjourn for the organization’s annual meeting.
