Kewaunee County Emergency Management is inviting residents to properly dispose of unwanted agricultural and household hazardous waste, as well as medications, opioids and sharps during the “2018 Clean Sweep” collection.
The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 21, at the Kewaunee County Hillside Highway Shop, E2180 State Highway 54, Casco.
Volunteers with Kewaunee County will be on site unloading items brought to the highway shop with the help of Veolia Environmental Services.
Residents interested in participating are asked to pre-register with Kewaunee County Emergency Management before Friday, April 13, over the phone, online at this link or via mail: Kewaunee County Emergency Management, 625 Third St., Luxemburg, WI 54217, 920-845-9700. Office hours are 8-11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday.
This service is offered free for residents thanks to grants from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as well as funding from Kewaunee County Families and Communities Encouraging Success (FACES).
